This recipe is a great one. It adds a little heart to some plain old chicken noodle soup. The noodles are simple to make just take a little more time than throwing premade ones in the pan. This is my kids favorite "left over turkey" soup! After the holidays we always have more turkey than we will ever eat so we made this soup. Its an olddie but GOODIE!!! Try this with your next leftover turkey!
One Whole Chicken
4 cups combined chopped, carrots, celery, and onions
8 eggs
Pinch baking powder
4 cups Flour (or till thick)
pinch of salt to taste
pinch of pepper to taste
Boil whole chicken til done, about 1.5HR. Remove from pan to cool. In the same pan add carrots, onions, and celery bring to a simmer.
In seperate bowl crack eggs and slowly add flour until thick and doughy. Add salt, pepper and baking powder. Roll out flat to desired thickness on floured surface. Cut into strips and add to pan with veggies. Let noodles cook for 10 min and all is ready to eat... MMmMMMm enjoy!
